D.R.U.G.S.。日本での知名度はイマイチでしょうか。
正式名称は「Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows」。アメリカのポストハードコアバンド。

メンバーが1人ってどういうことや。ってなるよね。(笑)
元々ボーカルのCraigはChiodosっていうバンドのフロントマン。躁鬱病ってこともあって、メンバーとのいざこざもあったらしい。2009年、Craigは強制的に脱退させられてChiodosは新しいボーカリストBrandon Bolmerを迎える。
Chiodosを辞めたCraigが結成したバンドがD.R.U.G.S.。(メンバーの大半はバンド掛け持ち)結成翌年にアルバムリリースもしたんだけど、去年CraigがChiodosに戻ることになる。おそらくそれが原因だと思うけど、他のメンバーがD.R.U.G.S.を辞めることがオフィシャルで発表されて、バンドメンバーは実質Craig1人になった。他のメンバーは別口で何かしら始めている模様。
Mattが「No one is in DRUGS anymore except Craig.」って言ったらしいけど、それってなかなかシュールな状況よね。笑。今後どうするのかはわかんないけど、もう活動しないなら残念。

彼らの唯一のアルバムから最初にMV化されたこの曲がエモくてカッコいいので紹介します。
『If You Think This Song Is About You, It Probably Is』。タイトル長ぇ。でもこのセンス好きだな。「この曲が自分についてだと思うなら、多分そうなんだろう」。

虫とか暴力描写が苦手な人は注意。

何とも強烈な歌詞。激しいけど悲しい印象を受けます。
Craigを無理矢理辞めさせたChiodosのメンバーに向けられた歌じゃないかって言われてるけど、一応表向きはそうじゃないってことになってるみたい。こういう曲もっと作ってほしかったから、活動が止まっちゃったのは惜しいなあ。
